The puns, good lord the puns...Now. take this and make a kickbutt brutal mech shmup sans the Llamas por favor?. It's not bad. A fun little Rogue-Lite top-down shooter. Gameplay is serviceable. The cutscene at the start is absolute cringe, but I think that's the point. My problem is that in a world with so many amazing games at the sub 20 dollar price point offering fantastic replay value (Slay the Spire and Dungreed come to mind) it's hard to say that I would recommend this game. There are just a lot of better games to spend 13-20 bucks on. That's less a knock on these devs and their product and more a statement of how great current indie games have been. Additionally, that's coming from someone who used to think Indie devs were eroding the expected quality of products. Btw, Steam, Give us a judge based on your own taste in games button. I like Rogue-Like's but am meh on top-down-shooters. If you're super into top-down shooters this might be your jam.. I never knew killing Llama's could be so fun. Better drop out of school so that I can become a pro.. It's a great game if you wanna sit down for 10 minutes and just forget the world. Theres no deep storyline to keep track of, no complicated controls to memorize etc. Just sit down, blow up some llamas and have some fun. My partner and I enjoyed the snot out of this last night.A few recommendations though:Its very hard and there is no way to regain health once you lost it. Maybe make a few different difficulty modes?When you drop a gun and pick up a new one, theres no way to switch back to the old gun. I often pick up a new gun (which I hate) and then I completely lost the old gun. Overall I definitely recommend this game!. It's fun for a bit, but it doesn't have the depth to hold your attention. I understand why the creators opted for local-only multiplayer, but I think it does the game a massive disservice. My friends and I use games to stay connected since we don't have the time we used to to get together. When we do get together, things like this are far down on the list of how we want to spend our time. Even as someone that followed this game during its development I can't recommend it if it doesn't have an online multiplayer.. Game is original, give it that.
